..."an artificial world, in the midst of the ocean, accidentally created by men" ...
Reports and images of floating garbage in the ocean, named “le 7ème continent” or “the great pacific garbage patch" called my attention, made me think and at the same time encouraged me to put this absurd reality into music.
The goal of this musical project is to make this 'seventh continent' sing, hiss, whirr, buzz and scream. Creating a wall of sound and rhythm, from where colors, patterns, melodies, and improvisations arise.
The sextet, which includes musicians from France, Germany, Austria, Spain, USA and Belgium, consists of two identical instrumented trios or three identical duos, with the exception of the double bass, which has the sub-contrabass flute as it's pendant.

Des documentaires et images de déchets flottant dans l'océan et formant ce qu'on appelle le "septième continent" m'ont interpellé, fait réfléchir et en même temps donné l'envie de mettre en musique cette absurde réalité.
Le but de mon proje t musical est de faire chanter, siffler, vibrer, murmurer et crier ce 7ème continent, d'en faire un tapis sonore et rythmique d'où s'échapperaient des couleurs, des mélodies et des improvisations.
Le sextuor, des musiciens de France, Allemagne, Autriche, Espagne et Belgique, est composé de deux trios ou de trois duos identiques, chaque instrument en double sauf la contrebasse face à une flûte sub-contrebasse.

Berichte und Bilder über schwimmenden Müll im Ozean, auch "siebter Kontinent" genannt, haben mich appelliert, nachdenklich gestimmt und zugleich angeregt, diese absurde Realität in Musik zu fassen.
Ziel meines musikalischen Projektes ist es diesen 'siebten Kontinent' zum Singen, Zischen, Flirren, Summen und Schreien zu bringen, ein Klangteppich, dem Farben, Patterns, Melodien, und Improvisationen entspringen.
Das Sextett, Musiker aus Frankreich, Deutschland, Österreich, Spanien und Belgien, setzt sich aus zwei identisch besetzten Trios oder drei identischen Duos zusammen mit Ausnahme des Kontrabasses, der die Sub-Kontrabass Flöte als Pendant hat.

Reportes e imágenes de basura flotante en el mar, “el séptimo continente” también llamado "Isla de basura", me hicieron reflexionar y al mismo tiempo me animaron a reflejar esta realidad absurda a través de la música.
El objetivo de mi proyecto musical es hacer cantar, silbar, centellear, tararear y gritar a este séptimo continente, crear una alfombra sonora de la que surgen multiples colores, melodías y improvisaciones.
El sexteto incluye músicos de Francia, Alemania, Austria, Espana y Bélgica y se compone de dos trios idénticos o de tres duos idénticos, a excepción del contrabajo cuyo equivalente es la flauta subcontrabajo.

Reportáže a obrázky odpadů plovoucích oceánem zvaných sedmý kontinent nebo "velká pacifická odpadková cesta" přilákaly mou pozornost, donutily mě přemýšlet a současně mi dodaly odvahu tuto absurdní realitu zhudebnit. Pascal Niggenkemper
Cílem projektu je tento "sedmý kontinent" rozezpívat, nechat ho divoce syčet, hučet a řvát. Vzniká zvuková stěna plná rytmů, barev, melodií, vzorů a improvizace.
Sextet složený z hudebníků z Francie, Ameriky, Rakouska, Španělska či Belgie tvoří dvě identická instrumentální tria - či tři identická dua, s výjimkou kontrabasu, jehož protějškem je sub-kontrabasová flétna.

Статьи и фотоотчеты плавающего мусора в океане, прозванного "седьмым континентом" или "большим тихоокеанским мусорным пятном", привлекли внимание музыканта Паскаля Ниггенкемпера, германо-французского басиста из Нью-Йорка. Размышляя об этом, Паскаль решил воссоздать эту абсурдную реальность в музыке.
Цель проекта - заставить этот "седьмой континент" петь, шипеть, жужжать, гудеть или кричать. Воссоздать стену звука и ритма из паттернов, мелодий и импровизаций.
Релиз проекта состоится осенью этого года, пока же можно познакомиться с несколькими треками на soundcloud музыканта.
