Described by the New York City Jazz Records as "one of the most adventurous bassists on the scene” and by the Chicago Reader “genius for sound exploration” Franco-German bassist and composer Pascal Niggenkemper creates music bluring the line between improvised, pure sound, and experimental music with adistinct musical language infused with new bass techniques.
After living in Cologne, New York, Paris and Rodez, Pascal is actually artist in residence at Jazzdor in Strasbourg. Pascal’s musical journey began by playing violin and piano before switching to double bass.
